Part Time Employment Agreement – Wage – Award Free Employee

This agreement is suitable for part-time employees who do not perform work covered by a Modern  Award and are paid a wage. This agreement is not intended to apply to full time, fixed term, casual employees or independent contractors.

Part-time employees work on average less than 38 hours per week. They work regular hours each week and are permanent employees. They receive a rate of pay commonly affixed to a period of time such as per hour, or per day. The base rate is equal to or greater than the National Minimum Wage. Employees will usually be entitled to overtime pay, penalty rates and casual loadings. A part time Award free employee is an employee who is not subject to the minimum conditions of employment of a modern award or an enterprise agreement.
