Part Time Employment Agreement – Wage – Award Employee

This agreement is suitable for part-time employees who perform work covered by a Modern Award and are paid a wage. This agreement is not intended to apply to full time, fixed term, casual employees or independent contractors.

Part-time employees work on average less than 38 hours each week and are permanent employees, in accordance with the applicable Award. They receive a rate of pay commonly affixed to a period of time such as per hour, or per day. The base rate is equal to or greater than the National Minimum Wage and the employee’s applicable Modern Award. Employees will usually be entitled to overtime pay, penalty rates and casual loadings. Part time award employees perform work that is covered by an industry or occupation-based award. Awards define the minimum terms of employment in an industry or occupation such as wages, penalty rates, leave entitlements, working conditions and other aspects of the employment relationship.
