Part Time Employment Agreement – Salary – Award Employee

This agreement is suitable for part-time employees who perform work covered by a Modern Award and are paid a salary. This agreement is not intended to apply to full time, fixed term, casual employees or independent contractors.

Part-time employees work on average less than 38 hours per week. They work regular hours each week and are permanent employees. They receive a fixed regular payment and will not usually receive additional remuneration benefits such as overtime pay or penalty rates. Part time Award employees perform work that is covered by an industry or occupation-based award. Awards define the minimum terms of employment in an industry or occupation such as wages, penalty rates, leave entitlements, working conditions and other aspects of the employment relationship.
