Right of Entry Policy

Right of entry refers to the part of Commonwealth workplace laws which regulate the rights of company employees and their elected officers (such as trade union officials) to enter premises. All employees have the right to choose whether they will be a member of a trade union. Permit holders also have the right to lawfully enter the workplace, subject to conditions. The purpose of this policy is to clarify the rights and obligations of permit holders and employees in relation to permit holders entering the workplace, and to set out the procedures that must be followed for the orderly conduct of those entries. The policy applies to all employees and permit holders and covers:

  • Rights and Obligations of Permit Holders
  • Responsibilities – Designed Entry Contact
  • Responsibilities – All Workers
  • Breach of the Policy

Ensure your company is covered by implementing the Right of Entry policy, the policy is fully customisable and printable.
